Hi all! I’m stopping by to give you an update on our project. The first illustration is coming along nicely. Hopefully by this time next week i will have the finished piece along with the permission to show it and sell prints!

Grotesque Moi! is an illustration project that involves you the fan and collector in the finished image. Your are in control of the the creature and how much of your image is represented in the final piece. If you aren’t sure what you want but definitely want to be a part of this fantastic project, I can help you come up with the details. This is a by commission project. The first contract is in and I’ve got the illustration started. Once I have the Illustration completed I will post here for you to see the results. Here are the line drawings of examples of some types of creatures that can be used to make your illustrations.
Welcome to Grotesque Moi! An Illustration project with you the fan and collector in mind. Inside you will find yourself transformed into your favorite fantasy creature! As your guide and illustrator, I will help you find the best hybridized image of yourself as your fantasy creature. When completed you will receive your illustration digitally printed on a 16″ x 20″ canvas ready for you to frame. Each completed purchase of a tier will set aside a block of my time to create your fantasy creature illustration. Below is a breakdown of each tier.

Tier 1
First level commission for the Grotesque Moi! project. The business contract will be negotiated before any work starts. This work will be produced through a digital media painting method. This canvas will be illustrated vertically. Character is in a full body illustration. The background is subdued in a slightly out of focus vignette style. Completed purchase will include one 16″x20″ canvas print of the illustration, one 8″x10″ glossy stock print of the illustration, one glossy stock XT Illos/Grotesque Moi! postcard and one glossy stock XT Illos/Grotesque Moi! business card.
Tier 2
Second level commission for Grotesque Moi! project. The business

one 16″x20″ canvas print of the illustration, one 8″x10″ glossy stock

Tier 4
Forth level commission for Grotesque Moi! project. The business contract
will be negotiated before any work starts. This work will be produced
through a digital media painting method. This canvas will be illustrated
horizontally. Multiple characters up to 5 are in full body
illustrations. It has a fully illustrated foreground and background.
Completed purchase will include one 16″x20″ canvas print of the
illustration, one 8″x10″ glossy stock print of the illustration, one
glossy stock XT Illos/Grotesque Moi! postcard and one glossy stock XT
Illos/Grotesque Moi! business card.
Glossy Print
This is a quality art print of one of Grotesque Moi!’s illustrations.
The image is corrected to 8″ x 10″ and is suitable for framing. Please

I guess since I draw and have for most of my life usually with a No.2 pencil (or a 4H most of the time) and scraps of paper, I have to try the drawing tools more. So on this IPad Pro I used the Sketching tool with an HB pencil option. It works a lot like a real pencil. The line quality is good. Scribbling, hatching, general basic shading works pretty well. Once I started blending, though, everything turned out more like paint and not so much a drawing. Still I like the results of this piece.
I originally Left my working lines on the right side so that anyone interested in how I created this image, could see how I designed this piece. It’s another in the latest project I’m developing. This is the Imp. A vicious little tormentor that loves to pull evil pranks on the unsuspecting travelers.

I’ve got a new project that will need your help! More about how that will work in the upcoming posts! I hope to roll parts of it out in stages this year.
